History
JF&CS has a long history in providing adoption services to the Pittsburgh community. In 1997, we expanded our adoption services department and founded the Family Hope Connection, an independent division providing comprehensive adoption services to birth parents, those considering adoption and adoptive families.
In 1999, we added foster care to our service offerings, becoming approved and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare for adoption and foster care services and establishing a partnership with the Pennsylvania Statewide Adoption & Permanency Network (SWAN). This enables us to work on behalf of the many children in the custody of county children and youth agencies who need permanent, loving homes.
