Providing homes for children who desperately need them.

According to the Administration for Children and Families, approximately 293,000 children in the United States enter the U.S. foster care system each year through no fault of their own. Approximately 130,000 of the children are unable to return safely to their birth families and are eligible and waiting for adoption. The need for families for older youth and teens, children of color, and sibling groups is especially great. Although there are infants in the system, approximately 42% of waiting children are ages 9 or older.

As an affiliate of Pennsylvania's Statewide Adoption & Permanency Network (SWAN), Family Hope Connection matches children in the foster care system with loving, permanent families.

Many families that adopt waiting children simply want to provide a permanent, safe and loving home for a child who desperately needs one, For some families, the much-less-costly option of adopting a waiting child enables them to turn their dreams of growing their families into reality. Whatever the reason, or if you simply want to explore the option, you should call the Family Hope Connection. We have years of experience working on behalf of these children, providing child preparation, profiles and child-specific recruitment services. And also in working on behalf of parents who wish to build their families through adoption.

"You don't have to be perfect to be a perfect parent. There are thousands of teens in foster care who would love to put up with you."
