As with any form of parenting, adoption is a lifelong process. There are, however, often different questions or challenges that come up in families formed by adoption, and the Family Hope Connection offers a variety of post-adoption services to address the long-term needs of adoptive families.
Counseling and Support Groups
It has been clearly demonstrated in research and clinical practice that adopted children and their families face unique needs and challenges throughout their lifespan. The Family Hope Connection is committed to providing the support you need to promote successful functioning and family stability, either through in-house service or referral.

We are able to offer qualifying post-adoption services free of charge through the Statewide Adoption & Permanency Network (SWAN) to anyone in Pennsylvania who has finalized adoption. You do not need to have adopted through the Family Hope Connection or from the child welfare system.
