Domestic Infant Adoption Services
If you want to adopt a U.S. born infant as a way to build your family, we can help make that happen. There are thousands of birthparents every year who make the difficult decision to entrust the raising of their child to a loving, adoptive family. We want to help you match with yours.
We’ll help you understand the costs, benefits and risks and adoption regulations. For those families that prefer to adopt from another state due to variances in adoption regulations, we’ll help you identify resources both in PA and in other states. We’ll provide a home study and post placement services once a child is placed with you and will complete all necessary paperwork required by the court system to complete your adoption.
How We Help
- We will help you to explore the wide array of options and chose the path that is right for you.
- FHC works with birthparents and occasionally one of them makes an adoption plan. We assist the birthparents with selection of adoptive parents and will let you know if you are appropriate for consideration.
- If you choose to locate your birthmother yourself, we can help you find and select the right one.
- The FHC staff works with you every step of the way and completes the home study and post-placement required to finalize the adoption.
- We are experienced at working with culturally-diverse individuals and pride ourselves on being empathetic and respectful of each person's situation and needs.
- FHC will work with your matching agency to assist with paperwork necessary for interstate placements. We will write your home study to accommodate specific information required by another state.
- FHC will provide post-placement supervision for a required period of time prior to adoption finalization.
