Counseling & Resource Referral

If you're pregnant and didn't plan to be or didn't want to be, the Family Hope Connection can help You have three choices: to parent your child, to place your child for adoption or to terminate your pregnancy. We are not here to judge. We are here to give you information about all of your options, help you think everything through and connect you with the resources you need to get you through this difficult time.

How We Help

• We'll provide objective, supportive counseling and help you to make the best plan for your child and for yourself.
• We are highly experienced at working with culturally diverse individuals and pride ourselves on being empathetic and respectful of each person's situation and needs. Your confidentiality will be respected and you will never be pressured into choosing one option over another.
• The time following the birth of your child can be an emotionally difficult period. Whether or not you decide to pursue an adoption plan, our counselors will be available to support and guide you through decisions and plans you've made or are making.
• We provide information and referral to a wide range of community resources. In addition, our unique position as a division of a larger, non-sectarian social service agency, Jewish Family & Children's Service, gives us immediate access to experienced professionals in a variety of areas enabling us to connect people with a range of experts and resources from which you may benefit, including JF&CS's Squirrel Hill Psychological Services, Career Development Center, Squirrel Hill Food Pantry and resource coordinators.
